About Us
Hansel and Gretel Antiques & Primitives began in 2009 as a small backyard shop where friends and family could stop by to browse antiques and vintage finds. Over the years, as quality antiques became harder to source at fair prices, we naturally welcomed more new primitives into the mix—while keeping the same old-world charm that started it all.
Our shop has called three locations home over the years. Our most recent move took us just a quarter-mile down the road to a 12-acre farm centered around an 1848 farmhouse. After clearing an old pig barn, we built the shop that now serves as the current home of Hansel and Gretel.
Our History
In 2019, we expanded online and launched our Facebook page, where we’re proud to connect with a growing community of 5,093 followers. In 2023, we were honored to be featured in Country Sampler magazine for our grungy hand towels and other textiles.
What We Create
We create many of our items in-house, including gourd garlands, grungy hand towels, bowl racks, blanket cranes, and more. We also specialize in Pennsylvania handmade goods—dolls, Lancaster County framed prints, wooden bowls and woodenware, paint-combed signs, pantry cakes, birch candle rings, and all the “smalls” that make primitive decorating feel personal.
Most of all, we’re grateful for every customer who visits, shops, and returns. We feel truly blessed to do what we love—and to be a place people enjoy coming back to for their next special find.
